its been good to be back in montreal. it had been too long. the metro system is my fave so far. i could get used to that kind of living. beer is entirely too expensive though.

happy thanksgiving! i want to say congrats to julia on the birth of her baby nephew today. this truly has to be the best thanksgiving for her whole family!

one more work day then its off for the whole week and montreal adventures with my lover and family. its sort of a big deal for josh to be attending seeing as this is a serious side of my family he will be meeting. the future looks mighty bright for the both of us. im very excited for all to come.

st joseph's is where my grandparents are buried and it was one of my favorite childhood visits.

my tolerance isn't what it used to be since i've stopped drinking as often.
i did NOT have any idea that a lesbian from Transylvania would want to have eye sex with me all night. as soon as josh was in the bathroom coco was all over this little girl. good lord. i survived.
i just hope all the others did.
i wish someone else could make my breakfast this morning. ugh.

i watched some of season 4 of "the oc" today. i don't know why i do this to myself but i cry like a baby when i see the end.

on my quest at becoming some what domestic for my future as a wife i'm beginning to look into recipes and learning to cook. recipes are so exciting to me. even more exciting than recipes in general are vegetarian healthy choice recipes! mmmm! last night i cooked "chicken" and dumplings. i've never made a dumpling before and i've only ever tasted a dumpling once in my life so creating those babies was a challenge. i used mushroom broth instead of chicken broth and faux chicken instead of the obvious chicken. onions, peppers, carrots...delish! joshua and my father both went back for seconds so it couldn't have been that bad so in conclusion, i am awesome.

lately josh and i have been having cozy nights in with wine bottles and good film. i purchased the charlie brown christmas movie on dvd for six bucks last night. my vhs copy had finally bit the bullet. i'm stoked on watching it as soon as thanksgiving is over. out of respect. i never seem to get the christmas feeling until right up to the day. last years christmas eve was spent on an airplane home from tokyo and then on christmas day i fell asleep every hour or two. this holiday season has been comfortable so far and since i am no longer a raging lunatic of emotional drama i know for a fact that i'll be having a very merry christmas.

tigi makes a new dry shampoo which seems to be working exceptionally well upon my glorious locks. i am very thankful for this discovery making it's way into my salon so that i do not look like a dirty richmond rat during the days i choose not to wash my scalp.

joshua is surprising me more and more everyday with new reasons as to why i've fallen for the guy. its better than the dry shampoo discovery. its incredible. its a lot like riding my bike without training wheels for the first time which ended in me crashing into a tree and i mean its a long story but the feeling is pretty damn awesome.

as if "wookie cookies" and "boba fett-uccine weren't awesome enough to be inside my belly i just discovered that there is a "star wars cookbook 2".
im thinking ive been a good girl and need them.

happy birthday to my joshua greenough today.

over the summer i went to jersey to celebrate with one side of my italian family and at the end of this month im going to quebec to celebrate being italian with the other side. this is my father's mother's side. and this is a lot more like the godfather than everybody loves raymond. the whole family plus their lovers are going this this time. all i can think about is eating and being in love and eating and drinking.

i've waited and waited. i'm glad i can say that i saw the future president of the united states speak. i'm glad i could be a part of it.
i'm glad that my dad is driving around the city with an obama sign taped to the top of his little car and not just to keep the rain out from where someone stabbed it. but because he's awesome. this was an incredible day.

election day!

i've been waiting well over two years for today. voting excites my tiny body. to the polls!
